Paris in December: festivities and animations!

In December, Christmas will approach, with its festive events, illuminations and gifts galore! It will be time to enjoy the festive season and discover the special magic of Paris at this time of year. Streets will be decorated, department store windows will come to life and Paris’s finest monuments will illuminate..

On the programme: Christmas markets, Nativity scenes, open-air ice-rinks, merry-go-rounds, shows and concerts!

How to get to and around Paris?

You will be sure to find a subway or a RER (Regional Express Network) every day between 6 AM and 0:30 PM, no matter the place where you are situated on lines. Most of buses work from 7 AM till 8:30 PM and some lines pursue their service till 0:30 AM. The bus Noctilien takes over from 0:30 AM till 5:30 AM. As for taxis, you will find there 24 hours a day.

The majority of shops are open all day from 9AM to 7PM, Monday to Saturday.
